MAGNESIUM
CHLORIDE
Often referred to as "the relaxation mineral," magnesium may support stress relief, reduce anxiety, and promote better sleep.
Magnesium chloride provides magnesium, an essential mineral that supports the proper functioning of nerves, cells, bones, muscles, and the heart. It plays a critical role in cellular energy production, DNA synthesis, and maintaining bone density. While most people obtain sufficient magnesium through their diet, supplementation may sometimes be necessary. Foods rich in fiber are typically good sources of magnesium, including nuts, dark chocolate, avocados, fatty fish, seeds, and whole grains.
Magnesium salts, such as magnesium chloride, are commonly used to address magnesium deficiency. Deficiency is more prevalent in women, African Americans, and the elderly. Low magnesium levels have been associated with conditions like osteoporosis, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, diabetes, and stroke. Other factors, such as alcoholism, an inadequate diet, poorly controlled diabetes, and the use of diuretic medications, can also lead to magnesium deficiency and may require medical treatment.
